DANIELS, WV – Livingstone golfer Kenny Bethea sits in 7^th place in the individual standings at the 2010 NCAA East/Atlantic Golf Regional after shooting a second-round 79, Tuesday.

 

Bethea has a two-day total, 159, 15 shots over par.  Bethea must finish in the top two of the individual standings to advance to nationals.  Bethea is currently eight shots out of second place.  Drew Deimel of Gannon University continues to lead the individuals at four shots over par.

 

Bethea started the second round on the back nine, shooting even par through his first four holes before hitting a major rough patch on holes 14-16.  Bethea shot a double bogey on 14 and 16 and a bogey on 15.  He finished the back nine with two pars, going to the front nine at 13-over par.

 

The front nine started rough with a bogey on the first and third holes before Bethea was able to birdie his first hole of the tournament on the par 5, fifth hole.  Bethea’s final slip-up came on the seventh hole, a par 3 that he bogeyed.
