HAMPTON, VA – Livingstone women's basketball player Kelcyn Manurs was named the CIAA Rookie of the Week for games played through February 6, 2010, it was announced Monday by the league office.

Manurs, a freshman guard from Reston, VA, played in all three of the Blue Bears' contests last week, scoring an average of 7.3 points per game.  Manurs top performance came in a loss at Fayetteville State Thursday evening when she scored 16 points and record five steals.

The award, as voted on by the conference Sports Information Directors, is Manurs fourth this season.

Manurs and the rest of the Blue Bears will host St. Augustine's College on Thursday evening with a start time of 5:30 p.m.
