RALEIGH, NC – The Livingstone volleyball team fell to St. Augustine's College 3-0 (25-7, 25-21, 25-13) Monday evening in a CIAA match-up.

With the loss the Blue Bears fall to 9-2 overall and 5-2 in the conference while St. Augustine's improves to 8-10 overall and 8-2 in the CIAA.

Livingstone struggled mightily in the first game as they had a total of only 13 attacks, with only one kill and 10 errors for a -.692 hitting percentage.   St. Augustine's took game one 25-7.

Early in the second game the Blue Bears trailed again, but battled back.  After falling behind 6-1, Livingstone took eight of the next 11 points to square the second game at 9-9.  The Falcons went back up 15-11.  The Blue Bears were down only three at 21-18, but St. Augustine's was able to hold off the Blue Bear run as they took game two 25-21.

The third game was again all about the Falcons as they went up early and never allowed the Blue Bears to get their offense going.  St. Augustine's took the third game 25-13 and the match 3-0.

Livingstone will step out of conference play Wednesday when they host Concord University at 6 p.m. at the Trent Gym.
